Pastas Romero has participated as a sponsor in the 6th Black Truffle Conference of the Daroca Region. These conferences, organised by the Daroca Region, have become a standout event for the promotion and commercialisation of truffle in Spain, being a benchmark in Aragón.
The event, which had the presence of distinguished institutional figures such as Manuel Blasco, Tourism Councillor of the Government of Aragón; Charo Lázaro, Deputy of Culture; Javier Lafuente, President of the Daroca Region; José Carlos Franco, Mayor of Villarroya del Campo; and Jesús López, President of TRUZARFA; in addition to our General Director, Francisco Romero, as a representative of our company.
During the weekend, technical sessions on the black truffle and the agrifood market were carried out, as well as tasting and sampling activities, in which Pastas Romero was present and actively participated through the realisation of a “Showcooking”

In support of the Black Truffle, an emblematic product of the region, Pastas Romero became a sponsor of the event, and among various activities we organised a “Showcooking” for more than 70 people where the well-known chef “Daniel Yranzo” — with whom we had already collaborated on Aragón TV in the programme “La Pera Limonera” — made several proposals with our pasta and truffle as protagonists. Specifically, the chosen recipe was a “Fideuá with Daroca Black Truffle” that he prepared with our version of “Classic Pasta”
Daroca, a leading area in Black Truffle cultivation
The Daroca Black Truffle has established itself as an emblem of Aragón’s gastronomic excellence and a product of great relevance in the Daroca region in recent years. Currently, there are more than 2,500 hectares of cultivation in the province of Zaragoza, approximately 25% of which is located in the Daroca region. This region, characterised by its high altitudes (between 700 and 1,200 metres), offers optimal conditions for the cultivation of this prized fungus.
Due to the growing interest in this product, the Daroca Region currently has more than 20 producers and 500 hectares dedicated to this cultivation. This activity represents a significant contribution to the local economy and rural development, as it generates employment and contributes to keeping the population in the area. These are some of the reasons why Pastas Romero continues to bet on this area, as we will detail below.
