Pastas Romero collaborates with Cooperación Internacional.
Recently, at Pastas Romero we have begun our solidarity commitment with the NGO Cooperación Internacional, which has several development programmes and support for families and people at risk of exclusion. From Pastas Romero we want to add our grain of sand to this great cause, donating batches of our pasta to share with families this Christmas.
This association has a “Social Leadership Programme” led by Perico Herráiz, who is director of Cooperación Internacional in Aragón, coordinator of the NGO’s projects in Morocco and India, and the driving force behind the programme that benefits around 300 young people each year.
Shared values between Pastas Romero and the NGO Cooperación Internacional
The Social Leadership Programme is a network that changes the lives of young people in the El Gancho neighbourhood, and has been running for 15 years in this vulnerable Zaragoza neighbourhood. Its activity is based on three pillars represented in what they call the 3Cs: body (sport), head (study) and heart (volunteering) seeking the integral development of young people).
These are objectives that at Pastas Romero we value as fundamental in the development of young people. Work objectives that are in turn supported by another 3Cs: care, confidence and commitment from the young volunteers.
Pastas Romero continues to bet on cooperation in Aragón
We continue to support Aragón due to its proximity and our collaboration with social programmes such as the Social Leadership Programme of the NGO Cooperación Internacional, which allows young people from Zaragoza with great difficulties to overcome them.
Our family character and roots in this community are now even more present at a time when all citizens need food companies and brands to be by their side to ensure their basic and essential needs.
We have been able to share with them a morning, in which several of their volunteers, young people from the programme and Perico explained their day-to-day life, their challenges for 2024 and their enthusiasm.
