“Cooking Party” with Real Zaragoza

On 21 May 2019 we organised a wonderful “Cooking Party” with Real Zaragoza, the football team we are sponsors of.

The event

The chosen venue was River Hall, since its kitchen and views are a perfect setting to learn how to cook and enjoy the surroundings. Real Zaragoza fans, winners of the “Contest” held the previous week on social media, came to the event. Each of them was able to bring along a companion who could take photos and taste the dishes they learned to cook.

Lessons from the chef

The aspiring chefs were able to learn details about how to cook pasta: cooking times, when to add salt to the water, oil yes or oil no… and many questions that came up during the two hours the Cooking Party lasted.

The recipes

The participants were able to cook 2 of Pastas Romero’s specialties

“Fusilloni” with cheese sauce and three peppers

Fusilloni are one of the 5 varieties of Pastas Romero’s Bronze Pasta. It is a special pasta, made with old bronze moulds, which give the pasta a special texture and flavour.

“Lemon and pepper Fettuccine” with prawns, salmon and mushrooms.

The attendees were able to try the new launch from Pastas Romero called “Sabore” The pasta that tastes…, which is made with 100% natural ingredients and is presented in two varieties (lemon and pepper or garlic and spicy). For this occasion, we chose the lemon flavour, which left a delicious citrus aroma in the kitchen while it was cooking. To preserve its rich natural flavour, the chef prepared a cold proposal that turned out to be a real success for the palates of those present.

The players

Although we know that more than one player loves cooking, it was Jorge Pombo and Julián Delmás who showed off their culinary side in this workshop, and they did not disappoint. Despite the fact that at first Delmás made it clear that he was not very much of a “cook”, he got down to work and ended up making a delicious Fettuccine recipe, which he was very proud of.

Jorge Pombo was not far behind and was very attentive to everything chef Iván Acedo was explaining to them: tricks to make pasta perfect, how to combine it and how to plate the dishes.

The final result

And once everyone had finished, the moment came to taste the result, so cooks and companions, fork in hand, did the tasting of the dishes… and although the score was outstanding, there was someone who got a little carried away with the pepper 🙂

To put the finishing touch, as it could not be otherwise, all the attendees took a little gift home: the two varieties of Pasta Romero (Fusilloni and Pasta Sabore) so they could practise at home all the gastronomic wisdom they had learned.

From Pastas Romero we are very grateful to Real Zaragoza, Jorge Pombo, Julián Delmás and the fans (Jon, Inma, Gemma, Beatriz, Laura and Álvaro) for joining us with such enthusiasm to learn about the wonderful world of pasta and our brand. See you at the next one! You are all now #PastaLovers #RomeroLovers
